Public Meeting Webcasts

Subscribe to the CalRecycle Webcasts feed. Subscribe to this feed. to be notified when new broadcasts are scheduled.

Use the following links to listen in over the Internet to live audio webcasts of public meetings and workshops. Upcoming events are listed with links to online agendas and other relevant information if available. See below for the system requirements necessary to join us on line.

Past Live Webcasts: You can view a list of previous live webcasts for up to the past three months. Note: We’re in the process of upgrading our webcast recording technologies and will soon offer access to many prior recorded webcasts. However, at the present time, we generally do not record webcasts, and the words "Audio" and "Video" that appear on pages for past webcasts do not indicate whether a meeting was recorded. To find out if it was, and how to obtain a copy, please contact the coordinator listed for the meeting you are interested in below.

About 15 minutes prior to the event, the audio and/or video link will be added, enabling a direct audio/video feed from the meeting room.

Webcast System Requirements

CalEPA is transitioning from Windows Media based webcasts to Adobe Flash Player and HTTP Live Streaming (for mobile) based webcasts. By the middle of 2015 all webcasts should be using the new webcast system. These requirements are organized by the room in which the meeting is taking place.

Consult your IT support staff if you are unsure if you meet these requirements. If you think you meet the requirements but still can't see the webcast, contact the CalRecycle Help Center at (916) 341-6141 or helpcenter@calrecycle.ca.gov.

Byron Sher Auditorium

Here are the requirements to watch webcasts from Byron Sher Auditorium. You can try the video test stream to verify in advance that you will be able to watch a webcast.

  • A high-speed network connection such as DSL, cable, fiber or a T1.
  • Microsoft Windows Media Player (often included with Windows).
  • Webcasts are distributed using the standard default port assignments -- ports 554 (TCP, UDP) for RTSP and 1755 (TCP, UDP) for Microsoft Media Services. Normally, these ports will be "open" and users should have no trouble accessing. However, if you are experiencing problems connecting and are unsure about this requirement, please check with your Network Administrator.
