Electronic Product Management
Stakeholders: Staying Apprised and Involved
The Electronic Waste Recycling Act of 2003 (SB 20, Sher, Chapter 526, Statutes of 2003) requires the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) and the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) to implement the various aspects of the law in coordination with a range of stakeholders.
There are multiple ways to stay apprised and involved in the development and implementation of this landmark program:
Attend Stakeholder Workshops
The CIWMB and DTSC hold workshops and hearings to inform interested
parties, learn from stakeholders and consider issues relating to the
implementation of the Act. Information on upcoming and past meeting is
available.
Subscribe to
"California E-Waste Updates: An Electronic Newsletter"
The CIWMB publishes a listserv newsletter aimed at keeping
stakeholders informed. Instructions on how to subscribe, as well as an
archive of all past missives, are available.
Submit Written Input
The CIWMB and DTSC are interested in
hearing from interested parties, whether it's suggestions or questions.
The best e-mail address to use for general communication is
