Recycling Market Development Zone Loans and Assistance (RMDZ)
The RMDZ is a CalRecycle program to create markets for recycled
non-hazardous materials. However, assistance for businesses
extends beyond State loans to include help and incentives
provided by local zones, through their Zone Administrators
(ZAs) and economic developers, as well as CalRecycle Zone

Local Grants
Commerce
Business Daily
The Commerce Business Daily lists notices of proposed government procurement
actions, contract awards, sales of government property, and other procurement
information. A new edition of the CBD is issued every business day. Each
edition contains approximately 500-1000 notices. Each notice appears in the CBD
only once.
State Agency
Business Service Resource Catalog (PDF, 418 KB)
The California Workforce Investment Board provides a
Business Services Resource Catalog, which targets businesses
that contains information about State grants, tax credits,
rebates and reimbursement, financing, and other funding and
services.
Federal Grants
U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency
Provides information about EPA, regulations, contracts, grants and
environmental financing, among other things.
Federal Register (FR) Environmental Subset
Provides information about the federal register. Includes a daily table of
contents on environmental issues.
Federal Register Online via GPO Access
Contains final rules and regulations, proposed rules, notices.
NICE3
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) sponsors an innovative,
cost-sharing program to promote energy efficiency, clean
production, and economic competitiveness in industry. The
grant program provides funding to state/industry
partnerships for projects that develop and demonstrate
advances in energy efficiency and clean production
technologies. Since 1991, NICE3 has sponsored 41 projects,
totaling $12.3 million of DOE funding.
Federally-Funded Research in the U.S.
Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs) conduct research
for the United States Government. They are administered in accordance with
U.S. Code of Federal Regulations. Title 48, Part 35.017 by universities and
corporations. The above website lists 36 FFRDCs.
U.S. EPA Environmental
Justice Grants
The grant programs discussed in this document are those which are
specifically designed to address EJ concerns and issues. Other EPA grant
programs may fund EJ projects and activities as well.
U.S. EPA's Small Business
Innovation Research (SBIR) Contracts
The SBIR program provides financial support to help small science and
technology-based firms develop new environmental technologies and ready them
for commercialization. The program targets research to prevent pollution,
reduce water and air pollution, manage solid and hazardous wastes, and
improve environmental monitoring.
