On July 20, 2010, the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) conducted a Senate Bill  966 Pharmaceutical Drug Waste Disposal Program workshop seeking stakeholder input regarding survey results, analysis methodology, initial findings, and additional information of effective programs in California that collect and dispose of home-generated pharmaceutical waste. The comments are in response to the workshop and the Evaluation of Home-Generated Pharmaceutical Programs in California background paper (Revision January 2011). The background paper was made available before the workshop.
