Internships and Volunteer Opportunities

CalRecycle provides unpaid positions to students and volunteers who are seeking experience related to their educational goals, as either volunteers or for academic credit. To apply for one of these positions, please submit the required material below as well as any referenced in the below Job Opportunity Bulletins (JOB) to the designated contact.

Required Materials

  • Cover Letter. Include: educational goals, college/university (if applying for academic credit), applicable training/education, work availability, etc.).
  • Resume
  • Transcripts, unofficial or official (if applying for academic credit).

The duration of internship and volunteer opportunities can vary depending on the intern/volunteer’s availability and project/program needs. Please identify in your cover letter your work availability (i.e., hours per week, quarter, or semester). If no opportunities are posted, please check back at a later date. Applications are not kept on file.
