Subject: EAC Resolution 2003-06, LEA/EA Annual Achievement Award

Dear Mr. Pirie:

Thank you for sending Enforcement Advisory Council (EAC) Resolution 2003-06, dated January 14, 2004, which was passed at the December 18, 2003 EAC meeting.

The EAC resolution establishes an Achievement Award program (the Ralph Hunter Memorial Award program) to distinguish extraordinary LEA/EA employees. The award is to be granted at the “Annual” LEA/CIWMB Partnership Conference.

Not only is the memorial award a great way to recognize accomplished and deserving LEA/EA individuals but a fine memorial to a dedicated Director, Ralph Hunter, whose contributions in environmental health have benefited the citizens of California.

CIWMB is looking forward to participating on the Awards Committee with EAC and California Conference of Directors of Environmental Health (CCDEH) Solid Waste Policy Committee to evaluate nominations for the LEA/EA Annual Achievement Award - Ralph Hunter Memorial Award.

Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this new program to identify outstanding LEAs/EAs and their achievements. Should you have any questions, please contact me at (916) 341-6311.
