Subject: Enforcement Advisory Council Resolution 2005-02 Approval of New Additions to the Permit Toolbox

Dear Mr. Levenson:

Since the November 17, 2004 meeting, Jon Whitehill and the tMAC Committee have developed several new additions for the “Permit Toolbox” including the following:

  • A new page of resources and tools for exempt facilities, excluded operations, and activities not subject to regulations.
  • Additional links and resources to the compost page.
  • A new link to guidance on requesting SWIS Number for new facilities and operations from the LEA Tier/Task Table.
  • Further guidance on using the revised solid waste facilities application form E177 (Excel | PDF).
  • A new link to the public hearing/participation tools from the index and full permit page (designed to provide resources for conducting AB 1497 hearings).

These new additions focus on the priorities for the Permit Toolbox that the EAC approved under Resolution 2004-01. On January 20, 2005, the EAC passed Resolution 2005-02 to formally adopt these work products. The EAC commends Mr. Whitehill and the tMAC Committee for its hard work.

Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me at (619) 533-3696 or by email at wprinz@sandiego.gov.

Sincerely,
