Health and Safety Field Seminar on Medical Waste

To: All Local Enforcement Agencies

On June 30, 1998, the California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) will sponsor a Health and Safety Field Seminar on Medical Waste. This course is offered to CIWMB field personnel, including interested Local Enforcement Agencies (LEAs), to update their health and safety field training needs. The class will provide occupational health and safety training on hazards related to medical waste, see the attached topic outline.

The course will be instructed by Mr. Douglas Krause, CIH, of Krause and Associates, at the CIWMB Health and Safety Field Shop, 9910 Horn Road, Suite 300, in Sacramento. The class will be approximately 2-1/2 hours, beginning at 9:30 a.m. and end at noon. Attendance is limited to 30. LEAs may attend on a first come first serve basis.
