Change in Mail Procedures

To: All Local Enforcement Agencies

This notice is being sent to inform you about some recent changes in regards to the Board’s mail procedures. All mail received at the CIWMB will now be opened in one central location, which could create a delay in processing unless a few steps are taken.

We are asking that you make sure each piece of mail you send us includes the division/branch name as well as the mail stop number. Also, on the outside of the envelope, please indicate what is inside, i.e. proposed permit, inspection report, grant application, etc. Attached is a list of all the Board’s mail stop numbers for your reference. This will expedite the processing of the mail, ensuring we receive it in a timely matter.

If you are sending a particularly time sensitive document, we recommend that you contact staff to inform them that the item has been mailed. For your reference, please refer to the Board's organization chart.
