P&E Committee Meeting Summary

  • The P&E Committee selected Mr. Paparian as Chair.
  • The P&E Committee proposed four solid waste facility permits for consent. (The Board approved.)
  • The P&E Committee directed staff to begin the 45 day formal public comment period on the proposed regulations for the Construction and Demolition/Inert Debris Disposal (Phase II).
  • The P&E Committee directed staff to return to the P&E Committee in May with the proposed regulations for Closure and Postclosure Maintenance after additional consultation with stakeholders.
  • The P&E Committee meetings will be audio broadcast beginning next month and will be available from almost any personal computer with Internet access.
  • The next P&E Committee meeting is on May 6 in Sacramento.
