Sample Notice Letter--Discharge of Fats, Oil and Grease (FOG)

This all LEA e-mail was sent on behalf of the LEA Support Services Branch of the California Integrated Waste Management Board, and Carol Monahan, Assistant General Counsel Cal/EPA.

Attached is a sample notice letter (Word 97, 23 KB or Adobe Acrobat PDF, 23 KB) to grease haulers regarding decanting processes that was provided to us by Sara Giobbi in San Diego. Her contact information is noted at the end of the sample letter if you have questions. Sara has used this letter and a similar version for companies involved in sewage pumping to advise them of the requirements for legally disposing of the material.  We thought it might be useful to those of you with similar rules or ordinances.
