Proposed Schedule for the Third Cycle of LEA Evaluations

This all LEA E-mail was sent on behalf of Scott Walker, Acting Deputy Director Permitting and Enforcement Division and the LEA Support Services Branch of the California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB).

Attached you will find the Permitting and Enforcement Division’s Local Enforcement Agency (LEA) program schedule for the third cycle of LEA evaluations. The schedule identifies the first six months of evaluations and projects the order of the remaining evaluations. As in the previous evaluation cycles, staff will send notification letters at least thirty days in advance of the upcoming evaluation.

Also attached is the revised evaluation procedure (revised March 2003).  As some of you may know, Evaluation staff made minor editorial changes to the evaluation procedure to improve clarity and readability. This document was circulated to the Enforcement Advisory Council, CIWMB management and staff for comment and approval and on March 6, the Permitting and Enforcement Committee gave staff direction to proceed with the new cycle.
