Manager of Landfill Operations (MOLO) Training Course

This all LEA e-mail was sent on behalf of the LEA Support Services Branch, and Darryl Petker, Special Waste Division of the California Integrated Waste Management Board.

The next MOLO Training course will be offered in West Sacramento on March 2-5, 2004. This four day course offers substantial information about landfill design, operations, and maintenance. The training includes both classroom and field exercises with basic information about the siting, design, operation, and maintenance of a sanitary landfill. This course will also include information specific to California regulations and solid waste issues. This course can be taken to obtain a Certification or obtain the 30 CEU's necessary to maintain a SWANA MOLO Certification. Additionally, this course is being offered in partnership between the National and California Chapters of SWANA and the CIWMB as part of the Operations Certification Pilot Project Agreement which is looking at Certification of Landfill Managers and Inspectors.
