NOFA for FY 2004/2005 Waste Tire Enforcement Grants

The following all LEA email was sent by the LEA Support Services Branch on behalf of the Waste Tire Enforcement Grant Program of the CIWMB.

The California Integrated Waste Management Board allocated $6,000,000 for the Waste Tire Enforcement Grant Program in Fiscal Year (FY) 2004-2005. The FY 2004-2005 Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA), grant application, application instructions and electronic budget has been sent out for this grant term of June 30, 2005 through June 30, 2006 (no attachments sent with this staff e-mail (see Waste Tire Enforcement Grants on the Board’s website). The maximum amount of grant funding an applicant can request is $300,000 per applicant to perform inspections of waste tire facilities, tire dealers, auto dismantlers, tire haulers, and other points of waste tire generation to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Applications, including a hard copy of your proposed budget, an updated list of sites, a list of staff contacts, and a draft or final resolution must be received by January 14, 2005. In addition, please e-mail your proposed electronic budget to Amalia Fernandez. The final signed copy of the resolution must be received by February 18, 2005.
