FY 2005-2006 Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for Tire Enforcement Grants

This all LEA e-mail was sent on behalf of the Waste Tire Enforcement Grant Program and the LEA Support Services Branch of the California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB).

The CIWMB allocated $6,000,000 for the Waste Tire Enforcement Grant Program in Fiscal Year (FY) 2005-2006. The FY 2005-2006 Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) has been released for the grant term June 30, 2006 through June 30, 2007. The maximum amount of grant funding an applicant can request is $300,000 per applicant to perform inspections of waste tire facilities, tire dealers, auto dismantlers, tire haulers, and other points of waste tire generation to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Applications, including a hard copy of your proposed budget, a list of staff contacts, and a draft or final resolution must be received by February 3, 2006. In addition, please e-mail your proposed electronic budget to Amalia Fernandez. The final signed copy of the resolution must be received by March 17, 2006.
