Sunset of Temporary Universal Waste Exemptions: Additional Dept of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC)/CA Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) Guidance

Attached is a joint DTSC/CIWMB letter (Adobe PDF, 70 KB) regarding the February 8, 2006 sunset of universal waste disposal exemptions. The CIWMB is also distributing this joint letter to the owners/operators of solid waste landfills and transfer processing facilities/operations through hard-copy mailing.

The letter refers readers to the DTSC and CIWMB web sites (see links below) where each agency has posted combined frequently asked questions (Adobe PDF, 126 KB) to provide further and ongoing guidance on the implementation of this regulatory action.
