To: All Local Enforcement Agencies

The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) is informing you that their treated wood waste (TWW) webpage has been updated and they are offering training for TWW Online Systems for treated wood waste handlers.

TWW Training Materials

We have posted our TWW training materials. The training videos, slides and handouts cover the materials that were presented during the June 2007 training sessions and can be used as part of the training requirements mandated in the TWW regulations.

New TWW Online Systems for Training

DTSC announces training for the new Online Systems as part of Alternative Management Standards for TWW regulations. These systems will be available on the web to assist you in complying with the new state requirements. The New TWW Online Systems training will be held in Berkeley (October 23), Sacramento (October 24), and Cypress (October 25). DTSC staff will present a regulatory overview and reporting requirements for TWW facilities and TWW generators. The training will focus on the use of the new Online Notification form and the new Treated Wood Waste Tracking System. This training is designed for solid waste operators and treated wood waste generators.
