Waste Compliance and Mitigation Program Contacts

Date: August 10, 2007

To: All Local Enforcement Agencies

Good news! The updated Waste Compliance and Mitigation Program (WCMP) staff directory is now available on the CIWMB’s Website and includes staff contacts from each of the main program areas. To help you navigate the WCMP, staff lists a few Frequently Asked Questions below:

Who should I contact if I have general questions about my jurisdiction?

Typically the Permit Assistance staff in the Permitting and LEA Support (PLEAS) Division will act as the first point of contact, so call them first. If needed, they can refer your issue to another Division or Branch. Click for Staff Directory to view your jurisdiction contacts.

Who do I send my Inspection forms to and who is responsible for them once they get to the CIWMB?

Please update your mailing address and contact information as follows and note the difference in Divisions for sending Active or Closed/CIA site inspection forms: be sure to list the Mail Stop!

Active and Inactive-Facilities, Sites and Operations:
Attn: Permitting and LEA Support Division
Waste Compliance and Mitigation Program MS–10A
California Integrated Waste Management Board
P.O. Box 4025
Sacramento, CA 95812

Closing, Closed, and CIA Sites:
Attn: Cleanup, Closure and Financial Assurance Division
Waste Compliance and Mitigation Program MS–10A
California Integrated Waste Management Board
P.O. Box 4025
Sacramento, CA 95812

By sending the inspection forms to the Waste Compliance and Mitigation Program, you will ensure that they arrive to the 10th floor. At that point, our support staff will distribute them to the appropriate staff for processing.

Where can I find information on the CIWMB reorganization, the new programs, and the Board’s Strategic Directives?

The CIWMB reorganization charts and background information can be accessed at the CIWMB Reorganization website which includes a Reorganization Message From Mark E. Leary, CIWMB Executive Director. The 2007 CIWMB Strategic Directives information can be found at Strategic Directives: California Integrated Waste Management Board Strategic Planning Home Page
