Request for Input on AB 2679 Implementation Guidance

January 12 Deadline for Input on New “Minor Violations” Implementation

AB 2679 modifies Public Resources Code sections to enhance enforcement for local agencies; effective date is January 1, 2009.

CIWMB, with input from Enforcement Advisory Council (EAC) members, drafted preliminary documents, PRC 45003 Implementation Guidance and Frequently Asked Questions, pertaining to the implementation of “Minor Violations” and other provisions of AB 2679. CIWMB is requesting review and comments on these documents.

The pilot AB 2679 guidance documents will be discussed at the January/February Round Tables. Additional information regarding the effects of AB 2679 are included in the Summary of Major Provisions.
