5 The Farm and Ranch Solid Waste Cleanup and Abatement Grant Program: Two grants totaling $15,698 Approved (Committee Consensus) Two Farm and Ranch Solid Waste Cleanup and Abatement Grants were approved as follows:
  • Tehama County-$9,264: For cleanup of one site with 21 tons of household waste
  • Merced County-$6,434: For cleanup of one site with over 2000 illegally dumped tires
7 Discussion and request for direction on green material alternative daily cover (ADC) Heard in Committee Only,

Discussion Item

The Strategic Policy Committee directed staff to develop a workgroup to explore options on green material ADC, including changes to diversion credits, additional disposal fees and surcharges, and increased inspection and enforcement.

The P&C Committee will meet on Monday, April 14. The next Board meeting will be on April 22 in Sacramento. The Committee and Board meetings audio broadcasts are available from almost any personal computer with Internet access. Summaries of the previous Board meetings are are also available.
