Scholarships for Environmental Enforcement Training in March

Deadline for California Only Scholarships Monday February 9, 2009

CalEPA and the Western States Project (WSP) are offering scholarships for government employees to the “Introduction to Environmental Enforcement” class in Sacramento from March 24-26, 2009. There are two different scholarships which must be applied for by 5:00 p.m. on Monday February 9, 2009:

  1. Full scholarships that will cover registration, travel costs and per diem.
  2. Registration only scholarships ($300).

To receive a scholarship, you must have the approval of your supervisor, attend all sessions of the training to be reimbursed, and submit a complete request to Cal-EPA by Monday February 9. Please do not apply unless you are sure you can attend all three days, as substitutions will not be allowed!

Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted:

  • Which scholarship you are applying for (full or registration only)
  • Name, Title, Agency
  • Program area (hazardous waste, solid waste, air, water, pesticides etc.)
  • Email address, Mailing address, phone number
  • Supervisor’s name and email address
  • Supervisor’s phone number
  • Duties (particularly as they relate to enforcement)
  • Have you ever received a WSP or CalEPA Scholarship before? If so, when?

You will be notified via email of scholarship award and will receive further instructions at that time. Final registration must be submitted by February 20. Travel reimbursement may take up to 8 weeks after submission of completed reimbursement forms.
