Date: January 27, 2010

To: All LEAs

February Briefing on Waste Compliance and Mitigation Program Activities at 10 a.m.

As part of CalRecycle’s commitment to maintain transparency in decision making and program development, “public comment” workshops are planned on a monthly basis. These workshops will include 1) status of permits under consideration, 2) a re-cap of decisions made in the past 30 days, 3) an update on ongoing projects within the Waste Compliance and Mitigation Program and 4) an opportunity for public comment on activities in general. Specifics for the February workshop are posted on the CalRecycle website.

There will be an afternoon workshop beginning at I:00 pm to update stakeholders on projects related to Regulatory Review: Strategic Directive 8.3 (food waste, beneficial use, ADC, etc) and provide an opportunity to comment on beneficial use white paper.
