Is CalTrans Working with You on Transfer/Processing Issues?

Some LEAs may find that CalTrans is operating limited volume transfer stations when they dispose of wastes from storm drain clean-outs. At the February Enforcement Advisory Council meeting, CalRecycle volunteered to gather information from LEAs on their interaction with CalTrans on these waste disposal and storage issues. Based in part on this information, CalTrans will develop guidance for their Divisions to ensure statewide consistency in meeting regulatory requirements.

Please contact CalRecycle by February 22 if you have had any contact with Caltrans on these waste transfer/processing activities as we will be meeting with them on February 23.
