Notes: Figures may not add to total due to rounding.

1. Tonnage includes materials diverted by local government operations and residential and commercial materials collected by franchised haulers. The haulers do not track materials by residential v. commercial origin.

2. Figures represent materials salvaged at the landfill by its operator.

3. Tonnage includes redeemed deposit containers and estimated reuse of materials through thrift stores and yard sales. The Tehama County Sanitary Landfill Management Agency (TCSLMA) estimates thrift store reuse based on the assumption that the seven stores in Tehama County sell an average of 426 tons of materials per year. TCSLMA estimated yard sale reuse based on the assumption that residents hold an average of eight sales per week and sell and average of 700 pounds of materials.
