A Comprehensive Analysis of the Integrated Waste
Management Act Diversion Measurement System
(SB 2202 Report)
A provision of Senate Bill 2202 (Sher, Chapter 740, Statutes of 2000) directed the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) to conduct an evaluation of the diversion rate measurement and disposal reporting systems and report the findings to the Legislature. This report, dated November 13, 2001, was completed with input from working groups comprised of volunteers from jurisdictions, waste and materials management industries, consultants, colleges, and environmental groups.
