Description: This rulemaking defines nonhazardous ash operations
and facilities, placed the operations and facilities into the regulatory tiers, and
established permitting requirements and minimum operating standards to protect public
health and safety and the environment.
Affected Regulatory Code Sections: Title 14, California Code of
Regulations, Division 7, Chapter 3; adopt new Article 5.8, sections 17375 through 17379.1;
and amend Chapter 5, Article 3.2, by adopting a new section 18226.
History: These regulations were approved by OAL on September 26, 1997
and became effective on that date.
