Description

Regulation development plan for implementation of AB 1497 (Stats. 2003, Ch. 823), application of new Construction and Demolition requirements to the regulation of other solid wastes, and clarification of permit process requirements.

Board staff conducted workshops on September 27, 2004, in Sacramento and on September 30, 2004, in Diamond Bar to gather initial input for the development plan put forth to the Permitting and Enforcement Committee in November 2004.

On November 3, 2004, the Board's Permitting and Enforcement Committee directed staff to initiate three separate and staggered rulemakings. For more detailed information, see the staff report associated with Agenda Item 25, November 9-10, 2004 Board meeting. The first of the three rulemaking packages is referred to as the Permit Implementation Regulations (AB 1497).
