Closure, Postclosure Maintenance, and Financial Assurance Fee

Description

New regulations concerning the administration of a statutorily authorized regulatory fee to recover the costs CalRecycle incurs in meeting requirements for landfill closure and postclosure maintenance plans and financial assurances.

California Code of Regulations, Title 27, Division 2, Subdivision 1, Chapter 8.

Status

In response to the considerable number of comments received on these proposed regulations during October 2010, CalRecycle is postponing further development of this rulemaking until it has had adequate time to fully assess the comments received.

CalRecycle staff discussed the initiation of this rulemaking at the Waste Compliance and Mitigation Program public meeting held on September 13, 2010. A public workshop to discuss the first draft informal text was held on October 11, 2010.
