Conflict of Interest Code

Description

The Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) proposes adoption of its conflict of interest code.

Affected Regulatory Code Sections

Section 18419 of Chapter 5.9 of Division 7 of Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations. (Cal. Code Regs., Title 14, Section 18419.)

Status

CalRecycle is working to finalize the conflict of interest code with the Fair Political Practices Commission, the code reviewing body. (See Gov. Code Section 82011(a).)

Rulemaking History

CalRecycle provided notice to employees affected by the amendments on or about July 9, 2010. CalRecycle conducted a comment period of at least 45 days beginning on July 9, 2010 and ending on August 23, 2010. A summary of comments received and CalRecycle's responses to them is available under Stakeholder Input.

The Department did not receive a request for a public hearing and no hearing was conducted.
