The Aluminum Association Inc., at http://www.aluminum.org, is the organization representing primary aluminum production.

Aluminum Market Alert, at http://www.hollyrh.demon.co.uk, is a quarterly abstract/newsletter that focuses on all global matters affecting consumption of aluminum. Included in each issue is the latest consumption information on all aluminum market segments.

AMM Online (http://www.amm.com) is the international news service of American Metal Market, the daily newspaper of the metals and recycling industries. The American Metal Market contains news stories and price data for ferrous and nonferrous scrap metals.

California Recycling Advocacy Associations. Recycling advocacy associations actively promote the recovery and use of secondary materials. The California Resource Recovery Association, the Northern California Recycling Association, and Californian's Against Waste are three leading California recycling advocacy groups.

Can Manufacturers Institute, at http://www.cancentral.com, is the trade association for can manufacturers and their suppliers. The website is intended to serve as a clearinghouse for information about the steel and aluminum can and the industry as a whole.

The Chicago Board of Trade Recyclables Exchange (http://cbot-recycle.com/indexst.htm) is dedicated to the international trade of recyclable commodities.

The Clean Washington Center (CWC), at http://www.cwc.org, in the State of Washington develops markets for recycled materials.

Connecticut Metal Industries, at http://www.recyclemetal.com/steel.htm, is a privately owned, American-based corporation that specializes in the marketing of recyclable containers.

Global Recycling Network Internet Recycling Business Center (http://grn.com) is a free-access public site dedicated to recycling-related information.

The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, at http://www.isri.org, is the association representing scrap metal processors. ISRI's Commodities Report is published 24 times a year and focuses on a single scrap commodity in each issue. The Commodities Report also provides domestic and export market analysis.

International Iron and Steel Institute (IISI), at http://www.worldsteel.org, is a global forum for information on steel, the world steel industry, and IISI activities.

Recycling Coordinators. Nearly every incorporated city in California has a recycling coordinator that should be able to assist you in identifying either markets for, or sources of, steel can scrap and aluminum beverage containers.

Recycling Manager (http://grn.com/grn/prices/rm-prices.htm) publishes free-access U.S. prices and commodity market summaries. Prices are based on representative volumes delivered to consumers in each market area.

Recycler's World (http://www.recycle.net/recycle/index.html) is a free worldwide information exchange for those who wish to buy, sell or trade recyclable commodities, used materials and collectible items. Secondary materials can be direct marketed through this free-access public site. Price information is available.
