Biomass Seventh Annual Forum The California Biomass Collaboration covered: new directives, state mandates, and the Bioenergy Interagency Working Group's new Bioenergy Action Plan; sustainability standards for agricultural and forest biomass use; best uses and appropriate policies and definitions for urban-derived biomass and food processing wastes.

Biomass Sixth Annual Forum The California Biomass Collaborative highlighted efforts to analyze the environmental costs and benefits of bioenergy technologies and provide an opportunity for participation in state-level planning for sustainable use of biomass in California.

Biomass Fifth Annual Forum: The California Biomass Collaborative brought together an international group of researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders to share their work on sustainability criteria and lifecycle analysis methodologies for bioenergy, with particular emphasis on the development of sustainability standards. Industry efforts in the area of sustainability, and opportunities such as certification and incentives, were highlighted. Conversion Technology Forum: The CIWMB held a forum on conversion technologies for municipal residuals. These technologies included: hydrolysis, gasification, and anaerobic digestion. The agenda, background paper, and findings are available.
