California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle)

Map of Public Recycling Locations

This interactive mapping tool shows the location of collection and recycling facilities for eight different material types throughout California that accept material from the public: beverage containers, carpet, electronics, household hazardous waste, medication, sharps, tires, and used oil. Information on where you can recycle mattresses or paint can be found on the websites of the stewardship organizations for the respective programs. For other material types, please contact your local government directly or try our Facility Information Toolbox.

Important! Contact the facility before attempting to drop off any materials to confirm that they are open to the public and accept your recyclable material.

Please see our frequently asked questions for additional information about the mapping tool and for directions on how to use the search functions.

CalRecycle is interested in maintaining the most accurate data. If any information needs to be updated please reference the Frequently Asked Questions.
