Reuse Assistance Grant Program

Note: Currently there is no Reuse Assistance Grants funding available or planned for solicitation.

The Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle), formerly the California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB), established the Reuse Assistance Grant (RAG) Program, a reimbursement grant, to provide funding for California local public agencies to promote the reuse of nonhazardous material(s). Grants were offered from FY 1999/2000 to FY 2007/2008. Reuse is defined as using an item over again in its current form without significant processing that alters its material structure.

Below is past Reuse Assistance grant cycle information listed by fiscal year (FY), including previous Notice of Funds Available (NOFA) announcements, frequently asked questions and answers, and project summaries.
