Department of General Services (DGS) Surplus Property Program
The Reutilization Department disposes of salvage and surplus personal property
from California state agencies. The property is made available to other state
agencies, political subdivisions, and assistance organizations for a
predetermined service and handling fee. If the property is not picked up by an
eligible entity, private citizens and the general public may purchase the
property in a cash-and-carry, first-come, first-served basis. See
