California Department of General Services (DGS) Surplus Property Program

Overview

The Department of General Services (DGS) makes state property available to state agencies on a first-come, first-serve basis. State property may also be sold to qualified nonprofits during regular business hours. Federal property is available to eligible governmental and nonprofit agencies only. The general public may purchase state surplus property through regularly scheduled auctions held at the Office of Fleet and Asset Management (OFAM), 1700 National Drive, Sacramento, CA 95834.

All types of surplus state and federal property, including but not limited to: desks, chairs, file cabinets, shelves, office equipment, specialty equipment, and office supplies, etc. No hazardous materials are accepted. The surplus property program only accepts reusable surplus property from State of California agencies. None. Northern California.
