Item Name Item Description
Major Waste Tire Facility A waste tire facility where, at any time, a sum of 5,000 or more waste tires are or will be stored [14 CCR 18422(f)]. See also: Activity.
Map A topographic or other map with sufficient accuracy to obtain decimal degree or degrees, minutes and seconds information. This is more accurate and has a higher level of specificity than place or external data. Longitude/latitude confidence indicator.
Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) "Materials recovery facility" means a solid waste facility where solid wastes or recyclable materials are sorted or separated, by hand or by use of machinery, for the purposes of recycling or composting. [14 CCR 18720(a)(36)]. See also: Activity.
Medium Volume Construction and Demolition Wood Debris Chipping and Grinding Facility A site that receives at least 200 tons per operating day and less than 500 tons per operating day of C&D mulch feedstock for purposes of processing it into C&D mulch.
Medium Volume Construction and Demolition/Inert Debris Processing Facility A site that receives at least 25 tons per operating day and less than 175 tons per operating day of any combination of C&D debris and Type.
Medium Volume In-vessel Digestion Facility A facility that receives an average of between 15 tons (or 60 cubic yards) and 100 tons of solid waste per operating day but shall not exceed 700 tons (or 2,800 cubic yards) per week of solid waste for digestion in an in-vessel digester. Additionally, the facility shall not exceed solid waste storage capacity limitations of the general design of the facility [17896.2 (a)(19)].
Minor Waste Tire Facility A waste tire facility where, at any time, 500 or more, but less than 5,000 waste tires are or will be stored. However, a minor waste tire facility does not include a tire dealer or an automobile dismantler, as defined in Sections 220 and 221 of the Vehicle Code, who stores tires on the dealer's or dismantlers premises for less than 90 days if not more than 1,500 waste tires are ever accumulated on the dealer's or dismantlers premises.
