  • Scrap Metal: Salvage at processing centers--I-beams, guard rails, pipes, plant op metals, metal door/bed, etc.
  • Wood waste: 
    -Brush/wood waste chipping for mulch or compost: milled lumber, dimensional lumber, pallets 
    -Wood waste picked up  by vendor: firewood, fallen trees, inerts (construction/demolition)
  • Concrete/asphalt/rubble (C&D): 
    Inerts: Concrete/rubble reuse, fill for land reclamation, subbase material for roads, concrete/asphalt recycling
  • Rendering: dead animal program, grease, tallow, cooking oil

Hazardous Waste Materials
  • Batteries
  • Used oil/antifreeze
  • Paint
  • Other hazardous waste: stripping products, oil filters, paint thinner, medical waste, fluorescent bulbs, CRTs (Cathode Ray Tubes)
  • Universal wastes: hazardous wastes that are more common and pose a lower risk to people and the environment than other hazardous wastes. Federal and State regulations identify universal wastes and provide simple rules for handling, recycling, and disposing of them. The regulations, called the “Universal Waste Rule,” are in the California Code of Regulations, title 22, division 4.5, chapter 23.
