Waste Tire Playground Cover Grant Program

The CIWMB (now known as CalRecycle) provided the Waste Tire Playground Cover Grant Program to promote markets for recycled-content products derived from waste tires generated in California and decrease the adverse environmental impacts created by unlawful disposal and stockpiling of waste tires. In 2005, this program was replaced by the Tire-Derived Product (TDP) grant program.

Signs

 CIWMB required that a permanent sign be posted at the project site indicating the number of California waste tires diverted from the waste stream.
