Tire Equipment Loan Program: Discontinued
The Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) administered a Tire Equipment Loan Program to encourage California-based tire recycling manufacturers located within California to site new processing facilities and expand existing operations. This program provided low-interest loans for the purchase of equipment. The intent of the Tire Equipment Loan Program was to help California tire recycling manufacturers increase their processing capability and create additional markets for tire-derived recycled-content products.
No funding for the Tire Equipment Loan Program was budgeted for fiscal year 2012/13. The Tire Equipment Loan Program ended as of July 1, 2012.
Eligible applicants were tire recycling businesses with manufacturing and processing facilities in California that produced tire-derived recycled-content products.
