June 22, 2000 The following are a series of questions and answers pertaining to the Used Oil Nonprofit Grant, Fourth Cycle (UNP4) application process. These questions were submitted to program staff and mailed to everyone that has requested an UNP4 application, in addition to posting on this Web site. 1. Is it the case that a nonprofit can be the lead on only one CIWMB nonprofit oil grant?
2. Would the CIWMB consider providing advance payment to a nonprofit agency to lessen the burden on their often bare bones operating budget? If not, would it be possible for the nonprofit agency to submit monthly payment requests to the CIWMB?
3. Can a volunteer member, i.e., president of car club, of a nonprofit organization be the primary contact for the grant? Yes, the authorized representative is the person who is able to contract or obligate your organization to the terms and conditions of the grant. 4. Does the maximum 15 pages of written narrative include additional attachments/exhibits for charts/maps?
5. What are the CIWMB's intention disallowing those nonprofits with prior contract experience to be penalized 5 points?
