Venues and Events: Reducing Waste
Sample Policies and Guidelines for Owners/Operators
Since many event-related goods and services are provided through agreements with suppliers and subcontractors, it is important that each facility or event have waste reduction policies in place to provide clear direction to facility users and business partners.
On this page are policies and other information that actual venues and events provide to their business partners and those who use their facilities. Reviewing these samples is a good place to start in developing your own policies and guidelines. Modify the sample policies and add additional information as needed to reflect local markets for recyclable materials and the capabilities of your facility or event.
For examples of internal policies or management system examples, please refer to the Planning and Implementation page.
