As designed, this project exceeds the minimum 1998 energy efficiency standards mandated in Title 24 by 30 percent. It also integrates daylighting techniques into building envelopes, improves building ventilation, incorporates recycled-content products with low or zero volatile organic compounds (VOC), and uses water efficient irrigation and plumbing systems. As modeled, this project is forecasted to save taxpayers $400,000 annually in energy savings alone.
