Sustainable Building Strategies:  

Energy efficient technologies enabled the building to receive a San Diego Gas & Electric Cash Award.

  • Photovoltaic cells to provide 50% of building’s power needs
  • Passive heating/cooling system to eliminate the need for air conditioning
  • Double paned glass
  • Double insulated coolers
  • Operable skylights
  • Daylighting with timer operated fluorescent lights

Additional features include non-toxic materials such as all-natural linoleum flooring, low or no VOC emitting paints to improve the indoor air quality and recycled content, reused, and sustainably harvested building materials.
