Description: This advisory has been developed in coordination with Local Enforcement Agencies (LEA) and California Integrated Waste Management Board staff to provide guidance on how to write a solid waste facility permit (SWFP) that is consistent with California Code of Regulation, Title 27 (27 CCR) and the Public Resources Code (PRC). The advisory discusses the role of the LEA and Board staff in the SWFP process, the goals of the SWFP guidelines for writing a permit, including the contents and a boilerplate SWFP that can be used as a template, if desired, by the LEA.
