Public Locations for Where to Recycle

This interactive mapping tool shows the location of collection and recycling facilities for 8 different material types (beverage containers, carpet, electronics, household hazardous waste, medication, sharps, tires, and used oil) throughout California that accept material from the public. Search by geographic location (name, address, city, or ZIP code) or by facility (name, material type, address, or city). Information on where you can recycle mattresses or paint can be found on the websites of stewardship organizations for the respective programs. For other material types, please contact your local government directly or try our Facility Information Toolbox.

Important! Contact the facility before attempting to drop off any materials to confirm that they are open to the public and accept your recyclable material.
