RMDZ CEQA Tool Kit

The RMDZ CEQA Toolkit is a series of web pages designed to guide a potential or existing zone through the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) process are now available.

CalRecycle Designates Two New RMDZ Zones

In 2009, the RMDZ designation process was initiated. The RMDZ Program had 33 zones designated and could have up to 40 zones. The designation process began in July 2009 and ended in October 2009. There were two applications submitted and both applicants were approved as RMDZs. The City of Hesperia and Tehama County are now the newest members of the RMDZ Program. These two new zones are now eligible for all the benefits provided for the RMDZ Program, including Zone Incentive Funds, low-interest RMDZ loans, and technical assistance.

RMDZ Celebrates $100 Million in Loans to Create Jobs, Boost Economy, and Put Waste to Higher Uses

State and local officials celebrated the California Integrated Waste Management Board's (CIWMB--now CalRecycle) giving away more than 100 million dollars in loans through its Recycled Market Development Zone (RMDZ) loan program. The RMDZ program offers business loans designed to boost California's economy and create green jobs.
