Tire Loans
State law (Public Resources Code section 42872) authorizes CalRecycle to make loans to California waste tire processors for the purchase of equipment to make recycled-content products.
Tire Equipment Loan Program
CalRecycle’s tire equipment loan program is available for three fiscal years, 2009/10 through 2011/12.
It complements CalRecycle's grant program for
Tire-Derived Product Business Assistance and
CalRecycle's Recycling Market
Development Zone Loan Program.
More information about this program is in CalRecycle’s Five-Year Plan For The Waste Tire Recycling Management Program (5th Edition Covering FYs 2009/10-2013/14 that was approved on May 19, 2009 (Agenda Item 11). The intent is to help California tire recycling manufacturers purchase equipment that will enable them to site new facilities and expand existing operations.
