Tire Equipment Loan Program

The Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) administers a Tire Equipment Loan Program to encourage California-based tire recycling manufacturers located within California to site new processing facilities and expand existing operations. This program provides low-interest loans for the purchase of equipment. The project eligibility, terms and conditions are consistent with those used in the Recycling Market Development Zone Loan Program. The intent of the Tire Equipment Loan Program is to help California tire recycling manufacturers increase their processing capability and create additional markets for tire-derived recycled-content products. More information about this program is in CalRecycle’s Five-Year Plan For The Waste Tire Recycling Management Program (5th Edition Covering FYs 2009/10-2013/14) approved May 19, 2009 (Agenda Item 11).
