Tire Loans
Tire Equipment Loan Program
The California Integrated Waste Management Board is pleased to announce a new loan program for tire manufacturers and processors starting in fiscal year 2009/10. The program encourages California-based tire businesses to locate new facilities and expand existing operations by providing low-interest rate loans for equipment purchases. This loan program is designed to help California tire businesses increase their processing capabilities and markets for tire-derived recycled-content products. Background information on this program is contained in the Five-Year Plan For The Waste Tire Recycling Management Program (5th Edition Covering FYs 2009/10-2013/14) that was approved by the Board on May 19, 2009 (Agenda Item 11).
Eligible Applicants
Eligible applicants are private businesses with manufacturing and processing facilities in California that produce tire-derived recycled-content products.
Current Cycle
Information on the current FY 2009/10 cycle is available.
Future Cycles
The Tire Equipment Loan Program will begin on July 1, 2009. The program has funding for two additional fiscal years: FYs 2010/11, and 2011/12, in the amount of $4 million per fiscal year.
