CalRecycle is offering a free training workshop (Spanish-English) for all waste tire haulers, auto dismantlers, tire dealers, auto body shops, car dealers, service stations, tire shredders, trucking fleets, tire retreaders, and local representative involved with waste/used tire clean-ups and/or disposals within Imperial County and Neighboring Cities: Brawley, Calexico, Calipatria, Desert Shores, El Centro, Heber, Holtville, Imperial, Niland, Ocotillo, Seeley, Thermal, Vidal, Westmorland, and Winterhaven. If you were unable to attend previous training classes in this area, CalRecycle staff are now available to assist you in answering questions that you may have had about the program, such as what are your responsibilities as a registered waste tire hauler, waste/used tire manifest system and recently adopted waste tire laws and regulations.  Please make an attempt to attend this valuable training as you will find it very useful. For larger organizations, arrangements can be made to have a CalRecycle representative do on-site training, please call our toll-free number

CalRecycle, in an effort to assist you in complying with the Comprehensive Trip Log (CTL) form and regulations, has developed several items to assist you in understanding, including a guidance manual, workshops, and online help.

  • Frequently Asked Questions: Online list of questions and answers categorized by role (these are also part of the Guidance Manual).
  • Comprehensive Trip Log Guidance Manual (English | Spanish): This manual provides specific direction to the roles and responsibilities of the regulated community in complying with the requirements of the waste tire manifest system. A printed copy may be requested by email at
  • Field Reference Guide: This one-page (double-sided) laminated guide summarizes information from the Guidance Manual--providing instruction for waste tire haulers on completing CalRecycle's CTL form.
