This workshop sought input on development of a new grants and loans program proposed in the Governor’s Draft Budget. The budget includes $30 million from the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund in Fiscal Year 2014/15 for CalRecycle to provide financial incentives for composting/anaerobic digestion infrastructure and recycling manufacturing facilities that will result in reduced greenhouse gas emissions. CalRecycle and Air Resources Board (ARB) AB 32 Scoping Plan Workshop, June 18, 2013
This half-day workshop was to seek public input on a Waste Management Sector Plan that discusses activities to achieve the 75 percent recycling goal of AB 341 and informs the AB 32 Scoping Plan update. The workshop is divided into three videos:

Conversion Technology Seminar, October 27, 2008
As part of CalRecycle's Climate Change and Conversion Technology Speaker Series, and in partnership with the Sacramento Municipal Utilities District, James Binder & Susan Higgins, consultants with Alternative Resources Inc. (ARI), offered a presentation titled “Evaluating Conversion Technologies for Municipal Waste Management.” The speakers discussed anaerobic digestion, hydrolysis, gasification, pyrolysis, and how local governments are approaching the evaluation of these technologies. The seminar included discussions of net energy production, emissions, and the economics of Conversion Technologies and the status of United States public initiatives in this area.
